Challenge

Client team was expected to plan and conduct mandatory organizational trainings for all employees in the APAC region. The planning was being done on spreadsheets using manual processes which involved lot of effort and there were always chances of manual errors in managing data for such an employee base. The timely tracking of trainings and reporting was also a huge challenge. There was lack of visibility around trainings conducted and their effectiveness.

Our Solution

Xpansion proposed and implemented a custom solution for managing the trainings in the organization. The Microsoft based web solution provided for a role based application that allowed easy setup of user roles and with configurable rights and privileges to categorize users for different training needs. It keeps track of all training related activates (i.e. Attendance, trainee’s evaluation, trainer’s feedback, training history of employees, their certification level etc.). Implemented with Façade design pattern on n-tier architecture for better security and performance. The trainings can be easily setup and scheduled over a period and automated notifications could be sent with options to configure reminders for upcoming trainings. The reporting dashboard provided one click view of all the trainings planned, scheduled and conducted in the organization along with their results. Users could login and check training’s assigned to them and check their performance on previous trainings enhancing real time tracking at end user level.
